BEACH CATHOLIC FAITH FORMATION

As of August 14th, the obligation to attend Mass each Sunday returns according to a statement released by the diocese. As a result, all children in the Faith Formation Program are expected to attend Mass each Sunday to continue growing in their faith. There will be a QR Code to scan in the bulletin each Sunday.

About

Elementary School Faith Formation program serves the public school children from St. Ignatius Martyr, St. Mary of the Isle and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal parishes from Pre-K thru 5th grade.

From October through April the students will participate in-person and virtually to learn about our Faith in an interactive and safe environment.  The children begin to develop a relationship with Jesus that we continue to expand upon as they grow.

About

Our Middle School Faith Formation Program is a combined effort between the parishes of St Ignatius Martyr, St. Mary of the Isle, and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal to teach our Faith to Long Beach Public School Students grades 6-8.

Middle School students will have the option to choose our Online Program or our In-Person Program.

Online

Our Online Program students will receive content by email every week. This content will include videos, readings, reflection questions and quizzes.

Our In-Person Program students will attend class immediately following the Sunday, 5pm mass at St. Ignatius Martyr.  The In-Person Program students are encouraged to attend the Sunday, 5pm mass with their families.

**Middle School Parents**

Please note: We will be having 4 Sunday Nights throughout the Religious Ed year in which we will meet with the parents of 6th, 7th & 8th graders along with their children. Parents and students from both the Online & In-Person Programs are expected to attend these nights.

Both the Online & In-Person Programs highlight both the Eucharist and The Gospel with the simple goal of bringing youth together to encounter Jesus Christ, all while preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
